Led by the fourth generation of the De Poortere family, the company consistently pushes the capabilities of its production equipment to achieve distinctive patterns and create innovative surface textures. 

In 2023, Louis De Poortere marked an important milestone, launching the Ecorug; an initiative reflecting the brand’s core commitment to environmental responsibility. Made in recycled polyester yarns that are recovered and regenerated through the Take Care Program, Ecorug technologies demonstrate how heritage manufacturing can also embrace circular practices and contribute to a more sustainable economy.
