Established in 1946, Shaw Home Foundations started off as a flooring company, but only one who dyed tufted scatter rugs. Originally as ‘Star Finishing’, their expansion was rapid along with their success, eventually resulting in Shaw Home Foundations as we know it today, around 25 years later.
As a result, the Shaw Home Foundations manufacturer has been dealing in the flooring industry for now over 50 years, and is therefore a much respected manufacturer, with their quality of flooring detailed internationally.
Carpets have been a part of Shaw’s history since the company’s beginnings back in the late 40s. Focussing on ensuring the company was self-sufficient; they bought their own yawn plant in 1972, resulting in a yarn supply which would go on to create Shaw Home Foundation carpets for many years to come. With everything being produced and manufactured internally, quality would always be high, and that’s been the case since Shaw Home Foundations started manufacture.
More recently, Shaw have moved further into the flooring industry, expanding into producing rugs and hard flooring. Although both of these areas might be ‘new’ for Shaw, they actually have nearly twenty years of experience in both rugs and hard floors!
Shaw Home Foundations have always aimed to provide low cost flooring, without sacrificing quality. If you’re therefore looking for a carpet, rug or hard floor which will remain at a high standard for years to come, but want to remain on a potentially tight budget, then a floor from Shaw is likely to be worth your while.
