About Us
Gillies of Broughty Ferry
Gillies was founded in 1895 by James Gillies, moving to Broughty Ferry in 1906 as James Gillies Cabinetmaker, Upholsterer and Removal Contractor and finally opening on the current head office site as “House Furnishers” in 1939. Gilles now offer the largest selection of home furnishings in the north east of Scotland, sourced from all over the world.

The company is still family run today, having expanded into Aberdeen in 2003 and Perth in 2004 and maintaining the same philosophy of excellent service, innovation and value for money as it did over 100 years ago.
